Waiting

Alone in his house, a man awaits the arrival of an unknown threat.

Shot in the fall of 2016 as a student project, this short uses various techniques to enhance each frame.
This film attempts to use textures, chiaroscuro, and motion, to convey a sense of suspense and dread.

Utilizing large key lights and virtually no fill lights, the film strives for a visual aesthetic common to the noir genre.
Although subtly used throughout the short, motion is a key element in the film used to represent the incoming force.

Shot on a Canon Mark III, and starring Josh Archibald as The Man.
